The fog

The fog.

A swirling fog
A hidden mist
Dark and grey
Haunting and evil
Consuming
Ghost writhe within it
Souls long forgotten
Dance along it
Sadness composes it
And I walk amongst it
I am not afraid
I welcome this mist
This thick fog
It clouds my mind
It burns my soul
And wreaks my heart
But I no longer care
I walk amongst it freely
I dance and I sing
Though all in sadness
I am happy in this mist
Truly happy
